Vanessa Sacchi, MA, CCC-SLP
Vanessa Sacchi's interest in stuttering started early in her academic career. Vanessa had the honor of being able to conduct research under the supervision of Dr. Barry Guitar PhD., CCC-SLP in the field of stuttering as an undergraduate at the University of Vermont in 2004. She received her M.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder in December of 2007. Vanessa did an internship with Mary Wallace prior to graduation, and instantly knew that she wanted to be apart of CST. She has been a therapist with CST since that time, and she specializes in the evaluation and treatment of Fluency Disorders and Language-based Learning Disabilities. In her free time, Vanessa enjoys riding her horse, hiking with her dog, and snowboarding.
Whitney Kauffmann, MA, CCC-SLP

While attending MSCD Whitney had a course taught by Patty Walton and knew immediately she wanted to specialize in fluency disorders. During Whitney's senior year she had the opportunity to shadow Patty Walton for a 20-hour senior experience, which turned into a year of volunteering at the Center for Stuttering Therapy (CST) in Denver. Whitney graduated from Northern Arizona University in May, 2009, receiving a Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Whitney completed her externship at Rady's Children hospital in San Diego, CA where she was able to provide therapy for children with a variety of speech and language disorders including children with cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury and children on the autism spectrum. Whitney was honored to be hired as a therapist at CST in September, 2009. Julie Demes MA, CCC-SLP
Julie Demes graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona in December of 2009, receiving a Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. This sparked an interest that led her to travel to the Center for Stuttering Therapy (CST) in Denver. After a week volunteering at the Center, observing Patty and spending time with clients and their families, Julie realized that she wanted to specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of people who stutter. Prior to graduation, Julie completed a 12-week internship with Patty Walton at CST. After working along side and training with Patty for three months, she was thrilled to be hired on as a part-time therapist in January of 2010 and continue treating people who stutter at CST. Julie also has a passion for treating children with other speech and language disorders and conducts articulation and language evaluations and therapy through the Center for Pediatric Speech Services, which is also housed in the Denver office of CST.
